So I took this from Yue's tab. was going to do it yesterday. But is lazy. XDD

You Know You're Chinese When...
(You know you are even more chinese, by what I have in bold). XD

You unwrap Christmas gifts very carefully, so you can save and reuse the wrapping (and especially those bows) next year.
not I, but my mum does it!!

You only buy Christmas cards after Christmas, when they are 50% off.
My parents don't send Christmas Cards, sad isn't it?

When there is a sale on toilet paper, you buy 100 rolls and store them in your closet or in the bedroom of an adult child who has moved out.

You have a vinyl table cloth on your kitchen table.
What kitchen table?

Your stove is covered with aluminum foil.
No, but oily! ew

You use the dishwasher as a dish rack.
Parents dont believe in Dishwashers

You keep a Thermos of hot water available at all times.

You eat all meals in the kitchen.

You save grocery bags, tin foil, and tin containers.

You use grocery bags to hold garbage.

You always leave your shoes at the door.

You have a piano in your living room.

You twirl your pen around your fingers.

Even if you're totally full, if someone says they're going to throw away the leftovers on the table, you'll finish them.
NOT MEEEee.. but my mum.. but then again, no one will throw away the leftoverss. Go into tupperwares

You don't own any real Tupperware -- only a cupboard full of used but carefully rinsed margarine tubs, takeout containers, and jam jars.
We do.. but also alot of margarine tubs and the like. My mum does NOT throw away anything

You also use the jam jars as drinking glasses.

You've eaten a red bean Popsicle.

You bring oranges (or other produce) with you as a gift when you visit people's homes.

You have a collection of miniature shampoo bottles that you take every time you stay in a hotel. my mum!

The condiments in your fridge are either Price Club sized or come in plastic packets, which you save/steal every time you get take out or go to McDonald's.

Ditto for paper napkins.

You never order room service. (but not exactly true. My parents did for me once.. coz I was sick in china. Horrid china *kills*

You carry a stash of your own food whenever you travel (and travel means any car ride longer than 15 minutes). These travel snacks are always dried. As in not just dried plums, dried ginger, and beef/pork jerky, but dried cuttlefish (SQUID). my mum doesnt like dried cuttlefish

Your parents vehemently refuse the sack of gold coin oranges that their guests just brought just to be courteous.

Your dad thinks he can fix everything himself.

You majored in something practical like engineering, medicine or law.
Finance is pretty practical. $$$$$$$!!!

When you go to a dance party, there are a wall of guys surrounding the dance floor trying to look cool.

You live with your parents and you are 30 years old (and they prefer it that way). Or if you're married and 30 years old, you live in the apartment next door to your parents, or at least in the same neighborhood. (I'm not married, but my mum who is 49! and my aunt who is 48! lives in the SAME apartments as my grandparents. Good example yeah?)

You don't use measuring cups. we don't even own any. Sad. *dumps the soy sauce in the spoon* ah well.

You feel like you've gotten a good deal if you didn't pay tax.
Considering my mum is a tax officer.. I'll say tax minimisation she knows.

You beat eggs with chopsticks.

Your parents' house is always cold.

You have a teacup with a cover on it.

You reuse teabags.

Your mom drives her Mercedes to the Price Club.

You tip Chinese delivery guys / waiters more.
Nah, they don't believe in Tipping

You're a wok user.

You like Chinese films in their original undubbed versions.

You have acquired a taste for bittermelon. yUM!!!

You like congee with thousand year old eggs.

You prefer your shrimp with the heads and legs still attached -- it means they're fresh.

You never call your parents just to say hi.

You always cook too much.

If you don't live at home, when your parents call, they ask if you've eaten rice, even if it's midnight.

Your parents tell you to boil herbs and stay inside when you get sick. They also tell you not to eat fried foods or baked goods because they produce hot air. and basically, don't eat anything coz you're fat. blah.

Your parents never go to the movies. my mum always want to go with my sis and I to the movies.. when we want to go for movies.. we just head out w/o her. XDD

Your parents send money to their relatives in China.
Hmmmm.. we don't exactly have close relatives in china. My grand mother probably does too. But maybe not.. considering that they lives in Shanghai.. and they are pretty prosperous.

You use a face cloth.

Your parents use a clothes line.
no.. but BAMBOO sticks

You eat every last grain of rice in your bowl, but don't eat the last piece of food on the table. <-- my mum eats everything.. coz she doesnt want to waste food.

You starve yourself before going to all you can eat sushi.

You've joined a CD club at least once.

You know someone who can get you a good deal on jewelry or electronics. not me..but my mum.. her good friend owns a large electronics company

You never discuss your love life with your parents.

Your parents are never happy with your grades... But I think we are over this stage. My mum doesnt have high hopes anymore. haha

You keep most of your money in a savings account.

You've been on the Love Boat or know someone who has.

Your toothpaste tubes are all squeezed paper-thin.

You love Chinese Martial Arts films.

You have Tupperware in your fridge with three bites of rice or one leftover chicken wing.

Shao Lin and Wu Tang actually mean something to you. I watch too much.. yi tian tu long ji and the likes. XDD

You love to go to $1.75 movies.

You love to go to $1.50 movies even more.

You never order sweet-n-sour pork, egg foo young, or chop suey at a Chinese restaurant.

You hate to spend more than $5 for lunch.

Someone in your family drives a Honda... with custom rims. -- no custom rims.. but my mum drove a red honda sports.. I dunno the name XDD.. i hate cars.

You have a Chinese knick-knack hanging from your rear-view mirror.

You like to eat chicken feet. Feng zhua anyone? XDD

You suck on fish heads and fish fins. The brain! YUM. XDD

You turn bright red after drinking two tablespoons of beer.

You can get a buzz on Coors O'Douls or Miller Sharps.

You look like you are eighteen.

You only buy used cars.

You have more than five remotes in your house.

You leave the plastic on the lampshade for ten years or more.

You can't bear to throw things away.

Your dad washes his hair four times a day, or never at all.

Your unassisted vision is worse than 20/500.

You've worn glasses at least since the fifth grade.

Your parents (or some other close relative) own a grocery store or restaurant. My dad attempted to own a restaurant.

You drive around looking for the cheapest gas.

You add twice the amount of water recommended when making orange juice from concentrate.

You've never seen your parents hug.

Your grandmother lives with you and your family. (well. she did..)

You never order desserts at restaurants.

You always have water when dining out. or chinese tea.

You say "aiya!" and "wah!" frequently.!

You love Las Vegas, slot machines, and blackjack.

You love to play mah jong. we sit around and play this during chinese new year. Chalets and stuff. =P

You have to read all your parents' mail written in English.
No, as my parents are english educated. Yet fundamentally, they are so chinese. How sad

You are constantly being set up with uninteresting (and usually ugly) people by your parents.

You hate eating cheese.

You have a big aquarium filled with colorful fish somewhere in your house. we had a pond with japanese koi. Does that count?

Your mother is strangely obsessed with plants. my mum hates nature, even more chinese mum.

White people look at you strangely if you tell them you are Buddhist.

You notice the main topic at family get-togethers is food. In fact, the main family get-togethers have to do with food.

You seldom ever owned new clothes if you were a second child. you seldom own new clothes even as a first born child when you are young. During CHinese new Year ONLY!!

Your folks never speak under 10 decibels at family gatherings. Oh my. Cantonese. Hongkies.. This is my family. Yesiree.

You never made the school football or basketball team.
Wellll.. not true but everyone in my school was chinese. So that makes me even more chinese

You have two middle initials instead of one.
How about.. you have a christian name, but you refuse to use it, and prefer to go by your chinese name? so my first name as two initials

You grow your own bean sprouts in the kitchen.
as a kid we all had to do this in school =P But i hate bean sprouts anyway

Your mother made you peel water chestnuts and snow peas.

You have an lonely unmarried relative who frequently drops by during dinner time.
I will probably be the lonely unmarried relative

You received little red envelopes containing money on special occasions.

You use the underside of a porcelain bowl to sharpen your knives.

You cut your own hair… or had someone in your family do it.

Your grandmother has a lot of gold teeth… especially in front.

You keep fresh garlic and ginger in the kitchen at all times.

You know what the term "lemon" or a "banana" means.

You only have to shave every other day (maybe).

You wash and reuse ziplock bags.

You know at least three people named Alan Wong.

You never drank milk after eating cherries.

Your parents collect jade jewelry. my grandfather collects jade sculptures. Jade dragons.. rabbits and stuff

You always drink tea after a meal.

Your dad owns at least one bird. used to?

Your parents grow vegetables in a garden.

You use doilies to decorate your furniture. my grandparents

Your grandmother rapped your knuckles with her chopsticks while reaching food with your fingers.

You're proud to be Chinese - and you pass these jokes on to all your Chinese friends!

SO $%#@$#@ HOT

It's soooo hot here in Sydney.. I hate it. Even in Singapore, the weather isnt even so hot. Sydney is worse. it is HOT AND DRY like a desert comparatively. I think it's because Singapore is surrounded by the sea, and there will always be a breeze, even if you can't feel it but yeah, Australia has DESERTS even though sydney is near the sea, but I think the hot air comess from the desert? But don't quote me on it. =P Me no Ecologist or whatchamathang. XD Not to mention the hole in the ozone layer.

Meanwhile Greens leader Bob Brown said ther temperatures were a reminder that not enough was being done to fight global warming.

"The forecast (temperature) for today is 38 degrees here (in Canberra), 42 in Sydney," Senator Brown told reporters.

"(It is) quite extraordinary. That's up around 107 degrees in the old counting and we're still in the last day of spring, last day of November.

"It's really time the government here took greater stock of global warming."

Senator Brown said people could not take one episode such as the current heatwave as pointing to global warming but said the record temperature highs and bushfire warnings kept coming in.

"It is high time the Howard government took a reality check on the fact that this country is suffering from this warming phenomenon and the bushfires that have come with it, and made a much better fist of leading the world instead of being behind in terms of addressing that problem."

Considering it is actually still november, I can't believe what torture I will have to go through next month. And niggie just had to remind me that it's monsoon season in Singapore. Not that I love the rain that much, but ANYTHING IS BETTER THAN THIS HELL.

In the morning I went jogging, it wasn't even so bad , drizzling somewhat, but it was nice and refreshing. ^^ But it became sooo bad, I just hid in my room making my jewelry. XDD Here is one that I made.. I don't know what to call it yet.. XDD Click on it to view larger ^^

If anyone wants to buy christmas gifts or something, just comment. I need the money. Urgh. XD But it is not as though I cut down on my expenditure.. Hmm, just yesterday, I spent around $800 ^^;; buying stuff for myself.. XDD Well, some are material, actually alot, I spent around $500 buying sterling silver, beads, pearls and gems.

I actually bought 3 pairs of shoes, and no, I didn't buy them because I'm extravagant. I need them. XDD Two were like black pumps, and they are really really comfy, both $100 each, the other pair was on SALE only $52.50, nice pink sandles. I haven't bought any shoes since.. July, ought to buy some to make myself happier. ^^;;

I'm sooooooo rambly today, maybe because I just took a cold shower. And really there's nothing to do.. Ah well, a nice "lukewarm" breeze just pass by. That's good. I mean that's heaven compared to the heat. XDD

Oh I bought my christmas cards already, they are in support of the salvation army or something, so heck, I just bought them, because I'm "nice" XDD.. I'm going to send to these online peeps.. Niggie, Lexa, Yue(maybe, she has to ask her parents), Cine, Puk.. I will be able to send more, so if you want to exchange cards, post here as well. :) XDD

I've been putting up alot of content on kawaiiness, after I finished my exams on friday.

Probably have more to say, but it's too hot to even blog! XXDD I may write more about what I've been doing while I've not been blogging later. When the temperature drops to bearable standards that is.
Currently Feeling:

hey guys.. today is my birthday.. haha, and earlier when I was out.. I thought about it, and decided to take a break from the internet scene for a bit. I don't really have time for offline/online/juggling NUMEROUS assignments nowadays. And I chose the offline stuff, and the assignments, as really, once I go back to Singapore, I will scarcely have the chance to see some of my friends again, and the assignments are really important, and they are giving me such a headache. I have 3 major group assignments, 1 major individual assignments and some small assignments scattered through the next couple of weeks. and my exams start on the 18th of november, which is less than a month away! time really flies.

By wasting my time online, without a clue about how fast time goes by when you are bumming around in front of the comp, instead of doing some work.

I'll still be online of course, all my materials are found on the web, but I won't be blogging, stalking message boards, or chatting. XD

See you guysssss in 1 + months! <33 (PS: My mom will be coming here in early december, so I'll be busy then. but I'll be around!)

Rellie
Currently Feeling: stressed

don't read if you don't want to.

make up. You know.. all those people who think that make up is unholy and all.. I don't get it. I was reading this post someone made on livejournal.. about lip gloss being unholy. gee. Everything can be used in the right sense and everything can be used in the wrong sense. Do we serve a different God or something? The god I know loves us and won't condemn us for something as silly as make up. It is not what is outside that matters, for example your looks etc.. but what is inside that counts. Yes, you may be really pretty on the outside, in make up or not, but that's not what God cares about. Only what is in your heart matters. You can be a real stoid christian on the outside, goes to church faithfully every week, dress somberly and demurely, but if your heart isn't true, and you are just trying to do the "right" thing, what God do you actually serve? You can wear make up on the outside, but if your heart is with God, seeking advice on what you do, loving and serving him, I don't see what will be wrong with it. Look at Jesus in the Bible. He did not condemn the lepers or the women who were unclean. Who did he condemn? And who were the ones that accused him? Those so called righteous ones.

and yes, I had a rather long part, talking badly about someone who thinks that they are at a level standard, but can't even solve a simple cubic equation. however, they think that they are oh so smart. But I removed it. For if even Jesus does not criticize us, what right do I have in criticizing some one else?

I must learn to do as I say. Learn to stop criticizing and learn to love more. Next time, please yell at me, if I sneer/make fun/criticize etc. at anyone.

A bunch of scriptures to make me remember.
"For all the law is fulfulled in one word,
even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself." (Galatians 5:14 KJV)
Mark 11:25-26
And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone,
forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.
But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in heaven
forgive your sins.

Luke 6:37
"Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you
will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

And I know there are a bunch of my friends here who will think that posting about God is stupid, annoying or redundant. But note, I don't force it down anyone's throats by posting it everywhere. This is my journal and I can write anything I want. You guys don't have to read it, but I'm just making it a note to myself. Considering I don't have a diary offline, I'll just write this here, and remember it. YOU DONT HAVE TO READ IT if you don't want to.

Father, forgive our hypocrisy. We should not act like those we do not want to be like.

Gee, I feel as though we're running a campaign. This 2004 presidential stuff must really be affecting us. Bad.

Vote here! = http://regretless.org/viewthread.php?tid=29214

here was what I posted on dmb anyway

I have interacted with all three of the admin candidates before, and I think that Cine is the best choice. She is helpful, and although she didn't mention it, her coding skills are really very good, and she helps me with php alot. Furthermore, she is friendly and sweet, and she is able to interact with the members on a person-to-person scale rather than just as an admin.

Veronica, I think she's a wonderful person, very kind and considerate, but I think she may have too many worries in her life at this stage in time, and I won't want to add other burdens to her life.

And leslie, I'll say that he's definitely a helpful person, and well educated in the internet scene. But not taking sides in argument? No offence leslie, but after yesterday? Maybe it will have been good for you to hear both sides of the argument before calling me names.

If you are voting for CINE, use one of these avatars! like omg!, courtesy of ratty ally! omg!

Currently campaigning!

I need a 5in tall afro on my head as not to feel inferior.

That's the vibe that I'm getting from Bush due to the rules that were made out before the debate. Really, does it matter that Kerry is 5 inches taller than him? So.. my boyfriend is 7 inches taller than me.. so he should really stay far far away from me, or maybe I should wear permanent 7 inch stilletos. Gee, I'm so smart.

I thought that one ought to love themselves, to accept themselves for whom they are. By even bringing it up as a rule? It just reflects so badly on them. Sure, it may not look as inspiring on television to be 5 inches shorter, but it shows that you are comfortable with who you are. But being so stupid as to let it be published on the newspapers and such? I cant comprehend the reasoning.

Oh yes, and I totally agree with Yue's post. A person who can actually admit that they are wrong, especially in front of so many people, is actually much stronger than someone who insist that they are right, and hold their position besides the world telling them otherwise. Yes, Mr Tony Blair, I'm talking about you and your cant-say-sorry address. Ah well, at least he did admit that he was wrong about the existence of the "weapons of mass destruction". We should take what we get, I guess. No matter how miserly it was given.

Today was rather interesting. Oh yes. Remind me to show you my mutated umbrella that I used since I was 13, made in Japan. Let me show you what Australia did to it. In fact, I composed a poem about the demise of THE umbrella (I named him Lachlann of the Loch) in my head while trudging home in the rain and the WIND. Yes, the wind. More about it later.

Must do assignment now. Horrid. Hedge funds. *kills and watches them collapse like ltcm*

Signing off.

Rellie

Oh another thing.. I started listening to SMAP again these days.. Not sure why.. I used to like them alot around 6 years ago? HMm.. but then again, I think my taste in music, is still stuck in the 1990s. and it even rewinded backwards! to the 80s! the 21st century, is just *so* commercialised.

harry is THE evil manifestato! much more than sauron or morgoth!

When the Harry potter movie, and the Fellowship of the Ring were first screened. I had a friend who told me that the Harry potter movie was evil, and she won't watch it. Being amused, I asked for the reason naturally, and gee, harry potter is the manifestation of the devil because they use magic! and cast spells. So I asked her why on earth did she watch the Lord of the Rings movie then.. and she told me that, the LOTR movie was not evil.

Wow, there is such a great difference between the evilness of LOTR and HP, i guess. Considering that Gandalf did cast spells, ie. when he lit the fire on the mountain with a phrase, or he said that he once knew every word in middle earth that is used in spell casting, I really wonder if she fell asleep in the movie theatre and is refusing to admit it.

Today, I came across this article, while reading Christianity today Saint Frodo and Potter Demon.

I'll just pick out a paragraph
So why does Frodo get a pass while Harry is demonized? Perhaps it is because Tolkien is a safe, dead, white male who taught at Oxford and helped C.S. Lewis become a Christian. He is one of us. Whereas Rowling is a divorced mother who only mentioned she was some kind of Christian when Christians starting attacking her. Perhaps it is because Christian parents get very anxious about things that so stir our ideals but do not come from our pews, like the Harry Potter craze and the Star Wars phenomenon before it. I do not know.

Now, let me check, we are in the 21st century right? Not stuck in.. the third age, where the women and children have to flee to the hills (although Eowyn proved them all wrong!) It's ridiculous how this idiocy will still continue persisting in the world. I'll bring up the issue of the terrorists wanting the women prisoners to be released? Now, come on, if you can research on Anthrax and the what not, I will think that you will be tough enough to be in jail.

Anyway, here is an article that Gracie posted on DMB recently. I really question the sanity of the writer.

Harry Potter? What Does God Have To Say?
So, another amusing paragraph I found...
As a former witch, I can speak with authority when I say that I have examined the works of Rowling and that the Harry Potter books are training manuals for the occult. Untold millions of young people are being taught to think, speak, dress and act like witches by filling their heads with the contents of these books. Children are obsessed with the Harry Potter books that they have left television and video games to read these witchcraft manuals.

OH NOOOO.. the children! they are actually READING! instead of being stuck in front of the television to be a couch potato.. or straining their eyes over video games where they kill one another, to read a book! *gasp* it is so wrong to read. I would have thought that reading, no matter in what sense, will actually better a person, instead of them watching tv, or playing video games all day long.
And television and video games are better? Why.. I wonder, when was the last time the author actually watched tv? or played a video game?

Television, or mass media, is the source that led little kids to learn to kill with guns, learn to rape other little kids, or adults.
A 13-year-old boy raped a 9-year-old girl. Twice.
An 11-year-old boy raped a 76-year-old woman.
Do you think that they will learn about sex from a book? (well, if it's a sex manual, but I doubt that they will KNOW how to read it at a young age) But on television, or on the internet? Porn and movies with gore, murder, and sex are all over the place. Even if a movie has a high rating that prohibits kids from watching them in theatres, they can always download it online? Or if their parents leave a tape lying about, they can always watch it.
And video games, or computer games.. Diablo.. Counterstrike.. Need I say more?

Anyway, some random loved.
cinie . yue . neko . lisa

:)

oh yes, btw, splendoria was accepted into 3 elite cliques today.. diamonds of the web, porcelain stars and les anges.
but i wonder about the eliteness of the cliques sometimes, because some of them , looks.. really bad..
maybe I should start my own.. and reject almost everyone including my friends, and piss off half the way. what a great idea.
Sushi Spectacles?!?

As I was telling Cinie earlier, I was reading the news on google, and just really being random, i typed sushi in the search box, and guess what I came up with. Sushi Spectacles!

German company has invented a pair of glasses that come apart to double as chopsticks.

The 'sushi specs' have detachable arms that can be used to eat traditional Japanese food.

Those who aren't adept at using chopsticks can have forks attached as an alternative.

Designer of the glasses Ralph Anderl says he came up with the idea after noticing that eating on the go was becoming increasingly popular.

"The idea came from the common need for cutlery at any time. Nowadays people don't have time to stop and eat lunch in a restaurant, they want to eat while they're walking to their next job," said Mr Anderl.

The spectacles can be made into prescription glasses for the long or short sighted, or be turned into sunglasses for those who want to eat outside.

"The glasses have been a particular hit in Japan," said Mr Anderl, runs Berlin-based company Ic!Berlin.

The frames of the glasses are made from lightweight stainless steel and fit together without the use of screws.

Unfortunately once the arms have been removed the glasses cannot be worn until the chopsticks have been reattached - making eating for the visually impaired a little tricky.

But that hasn't stopped the sushi specs, which cost £180 a pair, from flying off the shelves across the globe.

"We sell hundreds of frames across Europe, the US and Japan every day," says Mr Anderl.

Oh joy, so excuse me if I don't look at you while I eat, I seriously do not have a clue where you are sitting, because I'm as blind as a bat. Okay, I know people come up with weird ideas all the time, but really, taking off your glasses just to eat? gee. how smart. What if you accidentally ate an insect or something, just because you can't see! xDD

And really, even with your chopsticks or forks or what soever washed, will you want those THINGS near your hair?

In that case, I have an even better products for girls. the ultimate chopsticks hairstick! just use two chopsticks and use them to hold up your bun of hair!

unfortunately, your bun will come loose when you want to eat, but never to fear, it will just give you more excuses to make yourself look better after that. Furthermore, that tousled look is always in, regardless of whether you are eating, sleeping, working.

Also, the extra layer of grease on your chopsticks after eating, despite scrubbing them with heavy-duty detergent, will really give your hair a nice sheen. No more hot oil, olive oil or.. hair serum! just your average multi-tasking chopsticks will do the trick!

Hmm.. one other thing, I joined a bunch of cliques today.. haha, influenced by neko also, the epitome of boredom.. I took a bunch of quizzes.. as displayed here xDD Hmm.. .my husband generator turned out to be Elijah, whom I had been manipulating into a girl over the past week or so.. so is that suggesting something to me? lmao xDD

Remind me, never to go to the beach, except during summer. earlier today, I was "swayed" by my friend, to go to the beach. I haven't been to the beach in ages, and really, the beaches in Sydney are so just GORGEOUS! You never get to see such lovely beaches in Singapore. Or Malaysia.. [off topic]Even Orlando likes the beaches in Sydney XDD[/off topic] Thus, I can't resist the temptation of the sand and sea. Hmm, actually it's the skies that does it for me really. I love to lie on the beach, not doing anything else (as I'm lazy), but just staring up at the skies, looking at the horizon, and just day dreaming. But seriously, going to the beach for the sky? It sounds.. rather weird. XD I'm not going to talk more about this.. because.. it's embarrassing, and I don't like embarrassing stuff about myself. :P But let's just say, part of it involved chasing after a flyaway sarong skirt. That you were wearing. Seconds ago. Er. Yeah. Not to mention how "freezing" cold it was.

Starting from tomorrow. It's back to grunt work again for the ever-hardworking me. Yes, do roll your eyes at that. I have three group assignment meetings on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday respectively. Wow, I feel so energised by thinking about the assignments. Seriously. This is sarcasm in it's lowest form, fyi. *sigh* I keep thinking about graduation, YET I doubt I can even get past the last 3 months of school. I DON'T WANT TO REPEAT A SEMESTER.. *kills myself if I do*

Really, I think I will. If I have to repeat. It's really ridiculous how badly I take failure in my stride. Even though I don't want to, or don't bother to excel in anything nowadays, as it's no longer a goal for me, unlike my earlier overachiever self, that had been hammered in me, as a dysfunctional student of Singapore education system. I still can't take failure well when I don't expect it. I mean, getting kicked out of RJ was expected. *cough*not going to school for 3 months. What do you expect?*cough*

Bah.. let's talk about something else, instead of gripes about school. I mean, what else can there be about school, except complaints. XDD I went shopping the other day, and bought 3 juicy tubes. Okay. Juicy tubes are expensive here. $40 per tube. That makes it $120 splurged on useless stuff, as my mum will say. Not to mention what else I bought.. *winks* I need to stop being such a spendthrift. So no more shopping for me. :( Window shopping is such a damper on shopping, which is one of my favourite activities. XDD But anyway, when I see something that I like, even if it cost.. maybe.. $200 for a top, I can't help but to buy it. I cannot window shop only, despite my attempts to do so. Probably a support group such as shopaholics anonymous will be good for me.

Heh.. I started making the LOTR pixels today.. xDD

I made legooo look bad. :( So disappointing. For Aragorn it was easier. *doodles all over his face* xDD It's definitely easier to draw a man with a face of whiskers, than an elf, who has to look graceful and yet masculine at the same time. *sigh* I have to go fix it up! I won't give up until it's perfectttt! because it's legolas.. XDD Hehe, I tried to follow all the details for their clothes. ^^ Hmm, haven't decided how I shall animate them yet. It must be something easy, yet not boring.

Nowadays, I don't really feel like talking to people online anymore. The more I talk to them, the more I realise how many of them are actually just angsty posers. The more you talk to them, the more you realise they will never ever wake up from their dreams. Seriously, if your life sucks, fix it. You won't get away with anything, just by sitting around and complaining, whining and dreaming away.

I don't talk about my problems online, because I realise that no matter who I talk to online, and what advice I get, ultimately, the only one that can help myself, is myself.

And of course, online, most people are totally fake to the core. They will be "OHHHHH. I'm so sorry". What is there to be sorry about. When people say stuff like that, it is obvious that they don't really want to think about what you said about your problems, and instead just say a "comforting" phrase to placate you. Urgh. I'm sick of saying things like that, instead of saying what I really want to say, to shut the fuck up about your crappy life, and actually doing something to help yourself.

Speaking of annoying people. There is one person on DMB who is pissing me off. bad. What do people not understand about powerposting? Powerposting is posting ALOT of meaningless posts. Gee.. a current event about.. a kindergarten student made to bring his.. feces home? OMG, guess what, yesterday when I was out, I saw this man scooping up his dog's poop and bringing it home. *rolls eyes* That is such an amazing current event.

Who on earth will actually care about that in any fucking way? Ah well, at least i'm not the one who relies on the current events to get my daily news. Any news on http://news.google.com/ is more than pageworthy than any of those STUPID poop or.. duct-taped pants news. Does that means that I have to post every single news article there? GEE. YES OF COURSE. *powerposts*

anyway, this is an interesting read though.
Shouldn't we get a vote?
This is a good paragraph
Today, people far from America's shores do indeed pay for the consequences of US actions. The citizens of Iraq are the obvious example, living in a land where a vile dictatorship was removed only for a military occupation and unspeakable violence to be unleashed in its place. The would-be voters of downtown Baghdad might like a say in whether their country would be better off with US forces gone. But they have no voice.
How true indeed.

and this British Muslims on mercy mission
It's amazing how compassionate people can be. Without a doubt, after the september 11th incident 3 years ago.. Muslims in western society, must have felt somewhat octracised by their countries.
Despite being a christian, I always believe that religion, no matter what faith it is, is usually good. It's only when leaders(both religious and political) warp and twist religion for their own purposes and benefits, that's when it starts going wrong.
